A woman was rescued from the ocean near the Santa Monica Pier Thursday night, according to a report.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A woman was rescued Thursday night after she either fell or jumped from the Santa Monica Pier, KTLA reported.

The incident was reported at around 11 p.m. Emergency responders, including lifeguards, found the woman and brought her safely back to shore.

She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, though the extent or nature of her injuries was unclear, KTLA reported.
