Young Boy Found Riding Scooter On LA Freeway In His Underwear: CHP
A young boy was found riding a scooter alone in the express lanes of a busy Los Angeles freeway, and authorities need help identifying him.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are asking for help identifying a non-verbal boy who was found riding a scooter in his underwear on a busy freeway Sunday night.
Officers found the boy, described as being between 10 and 13 years old, riding the scooter in the express lanes of the southbound 110 Freeway near Jefferson Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The boy entered the freeway at 28th and Flower streets, about a half mile north of where he was found, the CHP said.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department transported the boy to Los Angeles General Hospital for observation. The LA Department of Children and Family Services also went to the hospital in regard to the boy.
The LA Police Department did not have any reports of missing persons matching the boy's description at the time, police said.

The boy is described as Black, between 10 and 13 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He was found wearing a black shirt with blue boxer shorts. He is non-verbal, the CHP said.
The CHP did not provide a photo of the boy.
