1 Dead In 405 Freeway Crash Tuesday Morning; Work Traffic Stalled: CHP

The crash was reported early Tuesday morning and snarled traffic traveling through Seal Beach.

SEAL BEACH, CA — At least one person died in an early morning crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 5:15 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, near the State route 22 West connector, according to the CHP.

At least one person was killed in the crash. Their identity was not immediately released.

It was not immediately known how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

The incident snarled early-morning traffic from Los Angeles County to Orange County when it happened Tuesday morning.
