'Bicycle Rodeo' Will Go Over Cycling Safety In Huntington Beach

The Huntington Beach Police Department will host a free bicycle safety event in July for riders of all ages.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Cyclists young and old can get a crash course in bike and pedestrian safety when the Huntington Beach Police Department hosts a free "Bicycle Rodeo" on July 12.

The Bicycle Rodeo will be at Jax Bicycle Center from 5 to 7 p.m. Officers with the department will "guide participants through activities that teach bicycle safety and awareness," Huntington Beach police said.

Children who show up for the rodeo will receive free helmets and safety gear while supplies last.

The event will be BYOB — bring your own bicycle.
