California Assemblyman Travis Allen Welcomes Baby Girl

Gubernatorial candidate and Assemblyman Allen announced the arrival of his daughter Monday morning.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- A California assemblymember who represents Orange County announced on Monday the arrival of his new baby girl. Assemblyman Travis Allen shared the exciting news on Facebook.

Allen, a Republican who is running for governor, said his daughter, Caroline Allen, was born on Nov. 16 weighing nine pounds and nine ounces.

In his Facebook post, he wrote, "Another California Republican is born! Congratulations to my incredible wife Arielle on delivering such a beautiful baby girl!"

Allen, who is from Huntington Beach, has served in the state Assembly since 2012. He represents Fountain Valley, Los Alamitos and Seal Beach, among other communities. He announced in June that he would compete in the governor's race.
