HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Voters in Huntington Beach will decide in November whether or not to amend the town's charter after the City Council approved a set of amendments Tuesday, the Daily Pilot reported.

The four amendments on November's ballot will be updating the charter's language, revising the necessary qualifications to serve as the city attorney, city clerk and treasurer, changing the city clerk and treasurer roles to appointed positions and outlining the duties of the city attorney.

Although Council Member Erik Peterson was absent from the meeting, the amendments were unanimously approved by the officials in attendance, the Pilot reported.
