Lady Griffins Volleyball Advances to State Semifinals

The Los Alamitos High School girls volleyball team once again moved forward in the CIF State Tournament Saturday with a win over La Salle High School on the Griffins' home turf.

With their win over La Salle, the Griffins will now play in the semifinals of the state tournament for a spot in the final match of the tournament.

Saturday's victory did not come easy though as the Griffins took all five sets to take down La Salle 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-16 and 15-12, the Long Beach Press Telegram reported.

Los Alamitos will play their semifinal match on Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.

Because of their top seed in the tournament, the Griffins will once again play the match at home at the Los Alamitos High School gym.
