Los Alamitos Residents Can Sip On Some Coffee With A Cop This Week

The Los Alamitos Police Department will hold a "Coffee With A Cop" event at Doh-Nut-Hut.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Residents can grab a cup of coffee Thursday and talk about public safety issues with local law enforcement officers when the Los Alamitos Police Department hosts a "Coffee With A Cop" event.

Los Alamitos police will kick off its participation in the Pink Patch Project for the first time during the event, which will be at Doh-Nut-Hut from 8 to 10 a.m., the department said.

The Pink Patch Project is a national effort among law enforcement agencies to help raise breast cancer awareness by wearing a pink version of their uniform patches.

Pink Los Alamitos police patches will be available to purchase during Coffee with A Cop for $10 each. Proceeds from the patch sale will go towards breast cancer research.

The Doh-Nut-Hut is at 4272 Katella Ave.
