Los Alamitos And Seal Beach Co-Host 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular

The 35th annual Fireworks Spectacular will be free to attend and held at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Residents can celebrate the 4th of July this year by heading to the Joint Forces Training Base for the 35th annual Fireworks Spectacular.

The free event is co-sponsored by the cities of Los Alamitos and Seal Beach and will be from 4 to 9 p.m. The Joint Forces Training Base is at 11200 Lexington Drive in Los Alamitos.

Attendees will get the chance to hear live music from the Country Nationa Band and the California Army National Guard's 40th Infantry Division Band, Los Alamitos officials said.

A Family Fun Area will be at the base, featuring a face painting station, a caricature artist and other family-friendly activities. Several vendors will be selling food and beverage options throughout the night.

Foot and bicycle traffic will not be allowed onto the base, and gates will open at 4 p.m. on Lexington Drive off Katella Avenue and Orangewood Avenue off Los Alamitos Boulevard. Attendees to the spectacular need to show photo IDs, and children must be accompanied by adults, city officials said.

Guests will not be allowed onto the base starting at 8:45 p.m.

Anyone attending the event is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets as there will be no available seating on the base.
