Monarch Butterfly Day Event Returns To Mile Square Park
Does the sight of the orange-winged butterflies bring joy to your heart? If so, come and learn about the monarchs in their natural habitat.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — North Orange County residents are invited to join Orange County Parks to learn all about the majestic Monarch Butterflies this year on Monarch Butterfly Day.
Monarch Butterfly Day celebrates majestic Monarch Butterflies during a free day of outdoor fun that takes place at Mile Square Regional Park’s Freedom Hall, near parking lot E.
When you go, butterfly experts will engage you with educational information and fun facts about the life and transformation of these beautiful and unique creatures.

Park visitors can explore a netted butterfly enclosure and learn how to plant their very own butterfly garden. Families can also enjoy interpretive programs, festive crafts, face painting and a balloon artist, with food available for purchase.
“Monarch Butterfly Day has become an annual community tradition at Mile Square Regional Park,” said Supervisor Andrew Do, Chairman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. “We’re thrilled to welcome families back to celebrate these magnificent creatures through fun, educational activities.”

This event is recommended for outdoor enthusiasts and children ages four to 12, discover the magnificent world of Monarch Butterflies at the 11th annual Monarch Butterfly Day at Mile Square Regional Park. Cameras are encouraged.
