No Arrests Made in Stabbing of 23-Year-Old on Seal Beach Corner

The victim, a Lakewood resident, had life-threatening wounds to his abdomen.

No suspects have been arrested in the stabbing of a 23-year-old man on a Seal beach street corner, police said today.

Police were dispatched at 3:44 a.m. Sunday to the northeast corner of Eighth Street and Ocean Avenue to investigate a disturbance call, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak.

The victim, a Lakewood resident, had life-threatening wounds to his abdomen, Gonshak said.”Due to the condition of the victim and limited witness information, suspect information is extremely limited.”

No arrests have been made, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Raul Ahumada. “The case has been turned over to our investigators.”

There was no immediate update on the condition of the victim, who is hospitalized, Ahumada said.

The suspect was described as Latino, 5 feet 5, 180 pounds, in his mid- 30s, with a medium to chubby build. He had short black hair and possibly a mustache. He was last seen wearing a plain charcoal-colored T-shirt with jeans.

Seal Beach detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the stabbing attack to call them at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1100.
