Suspect Shot By Police During Drug-Related Investigation In Seal Beach
The shooting happened while U.S. Homeland Security Agents and La Habra Police Department served a narcotics-related search warrant.
SEAL BEACH, CA — A suspect was shot while authorities served a search warrant in the East College Park neighborhood of Seal Beach Wednesday morning.
According to Lieutenant Julia Clasby, La Habra Police Department and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security served the warrant at about 6 a.m. in the 3500 block of Columbine Street. During the investigation, an officer-involved shooting occurred, Clasby said.
The suspect was transported to the hospital to treat non-life-threatening shooting injuries.

There was no threat to public safety, authorities said, and the incident was resolved at about 8:11 a.m. No additional information about the incident was available.
Homeland Security spokesperson Richard Beam told Patch that the search warrant was related to narcotics. The incident and investigation are ongoing, Beam said.
