Seal Beach 'Santa Cop' Donates To Needy Families: How To Nominate

"Santa Cop" is coming to town in Seal Beach! nominations are open for this gift-giving program run by the Seal Beach Police Department.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Nominations are open for the Seal Beach Police Department "Santa Cop" program.

The Seal Beach Police Department is looking for families in need this holiday season as it prepares for our third annual “Santa Cop” community outreach event.

The Seal Beach Police Department is once again requesting the public’s assistance, but they are not looking for a suspect. They are seeking area families in need during the holidays.

"If you know of any families or individuals who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, or could use some extra holiday cheer this year, please send your nominations to us," Seal Beach Sgt. Nick Nicholas said. "We have raised donations and want to help spread joy to people in need."

Residents can submit nominations to Officer Kendra Owen at kowen@sealbeachca.gov or Officer David Rael-Brook at draelbrook@sealbeachca.gov by 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.

All nominations are anonymous and those selected will get a special visit from the Seal Beach Police Department and "Santa Cop" himself.
