A two-car collision killed one woman and injured two men on the connector road between the 605 and 405 freeways.
SEAL BEACH, CA — A Long Beach woman was killed and two men were injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash on the HOV connector road from the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Seal Beach.
The crash was reported at 3:27 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer J. Cerda.
The woman was southbound in the HOV lane on the 605 Freeway just south of Katella Avenue in her 2007 Nissan Murano. "For reasons still under investigation, the Nissan veered to the left into the center median, where it collided head-on with an attenuator barrier, causing the Nissan to come to rest facing wrong way within the HOV lane," Cerda said.
