Woman Threatens to Jump From Santa Ana Freeway Bridge,
A young woman threatened to jump from the Santa Ana (5) Freeway Bridge today, shutting down traffic northbound for an hour, Monday.
A 22-year-old woman's threat to jump from a Santa Ana (5) Freeway bridge in Anaheim today shut down traffic in the highway's northbound lanes for more than a half hour until police talked her down to
safety.
Police were called to the freeway at Euclid Street about 3:25 p.m., according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. The woman surrendered to police at about 4 p.m., he added.
Traffic in the northbound lanes and the off-ramp on the southbound side were closed as police negotiated with the woman, Wyatt said.
