Woman Who Tried To Run Over Man With Her Car Pleads Guilty Monday

A 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday to attempting to run over a man in Westminster with her 6-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

WESTMINSTER, CA — A 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday to attempting to run over a man in Westminster with her 6-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Brianna Rebecca Estrada pleaded guilty to a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor count of child abuse and endangerment, according to court records. She was scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 30.

On July 9, police were called regarding a dispute between two people, and when officers arrived they saw Estrada allegedly attempt to run over the man with her vehicle and attempt to flee, according to Commander Kevin MacCormick of the Westminster Police Department.

Estrada's daughter was secured in a car seat, but suffered minor injuries in the incident, MacCormick said.
