Blue Angels Start Practice Flights
The ships are docking and the Bay Area is gearing up for Fleet Week.

That sound you may hear overhead? It's Fleet Week!
The U.S. Navy's famed Blue Angels arrived at San Francisco International Airport Tuesday evening and are rehearsing Thursday and Friday for the city's annual Fleet Week celebration.

Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger the commercial pilot who became a hero for safely landing a plane with 155 people aboard on the Hudson River in 2009 was given a ride Wednesday and said he was excited as though he were a boy again. The Blue Angels will perform as part of the Fleet Week air show on Saturday and Sunday.
Ships docked along San Francisco's piers will be open to the public beginning Friday.
