Cisco Executive Tapped For March Of Dimes Post
Los Altos Hills resident Jose van Dijk will take over as chairman for the March of Dimes. Dijk is the customer experience chief at Cisco.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Los Altos Hills resident and Cisco executive Jose van Dijk will serve as chairman for the March of Dimes Board of Directors for the Greater Bay Area Market.
Dijk, who is due to have her first board meeting this month, comes to the philanthropic organization will many credentials. It's a three-year term.
She is the customer experience chief of staff and chief transformation officer for Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking. This experience makes Dijk well versed on connecting, collaborating and communicating with others.

As a member of the board, Dijk will serve as a volunteer, representing the public in governing the organization and advancing the group's mission.
"I'm excited to support March of Dimes as this organization seeks innovative solutions to tackle the critical health issues of moms and babies," she said.

She cited a new finding from the March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center at Stanford University that scientists there have developed a new blood test, using biomarkers in maternal blood that would identify pregnant women who would go on to deliver babies up to two months prematurely.
Dijk isn't the only one enthusiastic about this transition.
Robert Pinnix, the organization's executive director, mentioned Dijk's passion for innovation combined with her business acumen as a good fit to advance the March of Dimes' work.
The March of Dimes give 4 million babies born each year the best possible start from research to advocacy.
