Earthquake Recap: Small Quakes Hit Region

Nearly a dozen small earthquakes hit Los Altos and the Peninsula this week, but they were too small for most to feel.

Ten little earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around the Peninsula this week, with the largest measured at 1.8, four kilometers outside of Half Moon Bay, according to data gathered by the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 1.7 quake-let two kilometers south of Loyola, a place name in Los Altos, was just behind it.
