"Many parents thought it was the most touching moment of our graduation ceremony," she said. "I just remember how timid Juan seemed at the beginning of the school year.
"It's very nice to see that he has blossomed into a proud Springer graduate."
Ode to Springer
Oh Springer, my first day I was afraid.
The second day I went to the school with enthusiasm!
Now I go to school to learn.
To learn and always be ready to learn.
Because I understand that time flies.
But sometimes I misunderstand and I feel like I do not learn English.
Before school my friends—they talk and talk,
And I did not understand!
I did not understand my homework!
I have shame, but I want to learn.
I no longer hide behind my companions.
For I will ask,
And I will walk into my living happy.
My mission in your school
Is to be always happy,
Be respectful,
Always speak the truth,
And learn more English.
I like school because I want to improve.
All my friends help me with my work,
That I cannot do.
I love my school!
My class is beautiful.
My teacher is my best helper in my English,
His teaching has helped me a lot.
Oh your computer class is awesome!
To work on math games,
It is so cool to make things that I never think I could do.
I appreciate everything you do for me Springer.
I like playing in your playgrounds.
And in your basketball courts.
To play soccer on the grass is impressive!
Springer School you are the best school that happened in my life.
