At least one person was killed and two others critically injured when a car went off the roadway on state Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay Saturday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said. A Sig-alert was issued at 9:03 a.m. for the shut-down highway at Pescadero Creek Road. The accident was reported at 8:28 a.m., CHP Officer James Evans said. The highway is expected to be closed until about noon, Evans said. 	 One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others in the car suffered serious life-threatening injuries, Evans said. —Bay City News Service
