KMVT 15 Silicon Valley Community Media has announced the hiring of Jan Janes as director of special projects.
In this new position, she will be responsible for production, promotion, outreach, branding and marketing.
Janes has more than 15 years of experience in mass media communications. As adjunct journalism professor at Gavilan College, she teaches classes in theory, practice and media production.
For the past decade she worked as programming manager of a five-channel television station in Gilroy.
While producer for NPR affiliate KAZU in Pacific Grove, she partnered with KQED on Health Dialogues. She holds a BA degree in Behavioral Science and an MS degree in Mass Communication, both from San Jose State University.
Previously she worked with KMVT as a contractor.

KMVT 15 airs locally produced television programs to Mountain View, Los Altos and Cupertino residents on Comcast Cable Channel 15, to Bay Area residents on AT&T UVerse 99, and globally via YouTube, Roku, Chromecast and on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/kmvt.
