Top 5 From the Los Altos Police Log, April 18: Cold Reports
A parked car overstaying its welcome, more 911 hang-ups and a cold report each of grand theft and battery round out Wednesday's incidents reported by the Los Altos Police.

Wednesday's report, which went into the wee hours of Thursday morning, contains a old report of a battery, a cold report of a grand theft, a disturbance, and, of course, the 911 hang-ups.

For once, there were no accidents. Well, there was, but it was up by the Foothill Expressway and I-280, and that made it the sheriff's office's jurisdiction.

1. Municipal code, general
- 8:26 a.m., Queensbury Avenue & Wakefield Avenue; municipal code violation, officer responded and tagged vehicle.
- Thursday, April 19, 2:30 a.m.; El Sereno Avenue & Homestead Road; report of fireworks heard, police responded, unable to locate.
2. 911 hang-ups
- 8:41 a.m., Highway 85 Northbound; 911 hang-up from cell phone, no answer on call back.
- 11:47 a.m. 1 N. San Antonio Road, 911 hang-up from cell phone, no answer on call back.
1:31 p.m., 1800 block of Miramonte Av, Mountain View; 911 hang-up from 911-only line, unable to call back.
- 3:09 p.m., 2500 block of El Camino Real; 911 open line from cell phone, no answer on call back.
-3:52 p.m., 1900 block of El Camino Real; 911 hang-up on open line, no answer on call back.
3. Battery
1:38 p.m., 800 block of Arroyo Road; battery, cold report; report taken.
4. Theft
4:41 p.m., 300 block of Gordon Way, grand theft, cold report, walk-in to station, grand theft report taken
5. Disturbance
- 6 p.m., 700 block of Vista Grande, disturbance, police responded, information
