Widening of San Antonio and Middlefield Roads Begins

Construction began Monday on road and median improvements at San Antonio and Middlefield roads, Palo Alto city officials said.

Construction crews will be widening southbound San Antonio Road and adding an additional left turn lane on to Middlefield Road, as well as repaving.

Traffic lanes will close at 9 a.m. and reopen again by 4:30 p.m. to minimize disruptions during commute hours, officials said.
