Barack Obama Boulevard Could Become Reality In California
A group of residents in San Jose want to name a street after the former president.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A group of residents in California want to name a street after former President Barack Obama. NBC Bay Area reported that San Jose residents plan to petition for the change.
"Almaden Boulevard in the heart of downtown San Jose is one of the roadways that could be swapped for the former commander in chief's name. That's because four streets in the South Bay city already feature the word 'Almaden' in some capacity," the news station reported.
The effort to change a street name requires at least 1,000 signatures supporting the change and $7,000, according to NBC Bay Area.
