CHP Reopens Hwy 17's 1 SB Lane Upon Truck Crash Damages Overpass
The tractor-trailer hauling an excavator hit and damaged the overpass, closing southbound Highway 17 for over seven hours.

LOS GATOS, CA -- The California Highway Patrol this morning is reporting one lane of southbound state Highway 17 in Los Gatos has reopened following a crash Thursday involving a tractor-trailer hitting an overpass.
The incident occurred on state Highway 17 at state Highway 9 eastbound.The truck was hauling an excavator when it struck the overpass. The crash was first reported Thursday around 5:30 p.m. The CHP issued a Sig-alert due to the crash. During the crash, the truck flipped on its side and concrete was
spread across the roadway.
The CHP reported there was damage to the overpass. The CHP reported one lane of state Highway 17 reopened around 12:42 a.m.
