Cooling Centers Open In Santa Clara County During Heat Wave
Trying to stay cool during these hot next few days? Several cooling centers will be open throughout Santa Clara County.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Temperatures in Santa Clara County are expected to approach triple digits this week in the Bay Area's first heat wave of 2021, and the county has opened several cooling centers for the public.
The cooling centers will open beginning 1 p.m. Wednesday and are located at:

An excessive heat advisory is in effect beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Inland areas could see temperatures in the 90s to 100s, with temperatures up to 110 degrees in the hottest places, according to the National Weather Service.
Most of Santa Clara County is forecast to see moderate heat risk, which means people who are sensitive to the heat should take precautions. Pockets of inland Santa Clara County will see high risk, meaning much of the population is at risk.
