Nearly 5,000 masks were gathered by 15 international students from China.
SANTA CLARA, CA — While healthcare providers throughout the region continue searching for personal protective equipment for medical staff treating patients infected with the novel coronavirus, 15 Chinese undergraduate students from Santa Clara University will be donating thousands of masks this weekend to aid the local effort.
A total of 1,800 N95 masks and 3,000 procedural masks will be donated to
local health care providers and the Santa Clara Valley Medical
Foundation this weekend — all of which were gathered from China by the group of 15.
Three of the students delivered the last of their supplies at 2 p.m. Saturday at the university's Guadalupe Hall at 455 El Camino Real in Santa Clara.
