Fatal Watsonville Victim Id'd In Los Gatos Weekend Crash
The man was fatally hit on Highway 17 when he got out of his car following a crash in Los Gatos.

LOS GATOS, CA -- A Watsonville man who was hit and killed in a Los Gatos crash Sunday has been identified as 49-year-old Jeremy Krabbe, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Krabbe was fatally struck after he got out of his car following a crash on state Highway 17, California Highway Patrol officials said. A blue truck hit the center median of the freeway near state Highway 9 at about 5:30 a.m., leaving debris on the roadway, according to the CHP.
A van also hit the truck, which left the scene and has not been located. Krabbe hit the debris while driving a Honda Accord and left his vehicle to check on the crash when he was hit by another Honda Accord, according to the CHP. He died from his injuries.

A van passenger involved in the original crash with the blue truck was hospitalized but the victim's injuries are not life-threatening, CHP officials said.
