Fire Consumes House Under Construction In Los Gatos
The building's design contributed to the Sunday morning fire's spread, Santa Clara County Fire officials reported.
LOS GATOS, CA -- A house under construction in the area of Golf Links Drive and Clara Street in unincorporated Los Gatos was destroyed in a fire Sunday morning, the Santa Clara County Fire Department reported.
The one-story, 3,000-square foot structure was unoccupied at the time. Crews with the county and the San Jose Fire Department responded and contained the blaze at the one building in about two hours.
The building's vaulted ceilings covered in tongue and groove wood paneling contributed to the fire's spread, according to fire officials.

The cause is under investigation.
