It's Time For Wine At Testarossa University

Students may learn the intricacies of wine -- from tasting and making to the unique characteristics of rose and Pinot Noir.

LOS GATOS, CA -- Testarossa Winery is preparing to satisfy learners thirst for knowledge by scheduling another round of wine classes taught by a team of educators. Classes are led by longtime Testarossa staffer Bob Zamora and resident Certified Sommelier Ryan Smith.

Curriculum topics range from the basics of wine tasting to the science behind winemaking. Prepare for "deep dives" into the terroir of various appellations and vineyards.

Wine Basics

  • April 30th - $35/person
  • Location: Los Gatos Winery
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Learn the basics of enjoying California’s favorite beverage. Learn how to swirl, smell, taste and describe wine. Students will also learn how we make wine, the history of our winery and the differences between varietals and places of origin.

Other classes include clone bottlings, wines of Carmel Valley, the rise of rose, components of Chardonny and Pinot Noir as well as a vintage retrospective, the charm of Fogstone Vineyard and wine with cheese pairing.
