Levi’s Stadium To Serve As Voting Center
Levi's Stadium will be one of 100 voting hubs in Santa Clara County for this year's general election.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara will be converted into a voting center between Halloween and Election Day on Nov. 3, the San Francisco 49ers announced this week.
The 49ers partnered with California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, Levi's and More Than A Vote, co-founded by Los Angeles Lakers basketball star LeBron James, to allow residents to vote in the general election or drop off their ballot.
The atrium of the SAP Tower within the stadium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 and then 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters will also be able to park for free in the parking lot of California's Great America, which is adjacent to the stadium.
"We want to do all we can to empower the community and our employees to make their voices heard at the ballot box and we thank our partners on this initiative and the NFL for prioritizing this message nationwide," 49ers CEO Jed York said.

The county will also make 98 drop box locations available for voters to submit their ballot.
The 49ers are making their stadium available as a voting center as part of the non-partisan NFL Votes initiative, which the league launched last month to encourage NFL players, club and league employees and fans to vote this year.
Several of the Bay Area's other sports venues, including the Warriors' Chase Center in San Francisco, will also be converted into voting centers.
"The addition of voting venues that allow for social distancing are critical during the COVID-19 pandemic," Padilla said. "We continue to be inspired by sports venues opening their doors for new and safe voting options this year and hope it inspires other teams to follow suit as the clock runs down on the November general election."
