Her grandmother was Sara Bard Field.
She is the great-granddaughter of Charles Erskine Scott Wood and Nannie Moale Smith Wood.
Her grandparents were Eliza (Lisa) Bryson Wood and her husband George Kirkham Smith.
Her parents were Kirk and Pat Smith of Santa Cruz.
