Los Gatos To Host Community Meeting On Highway 17 Bike Bridge

LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos community members are invited to a meeting Thursday to discuss the Highway 17 Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing project.

The new bicycle and pedestrian bridge at Blossom Hill Road across Highway 17 would connect east and west Los Gatos, and is projected to be completed by 2024. The site was identified in 2020 as an area where the town could increase safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The meeting Thursday is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and community members can provide input on the project.

Construction is expected to cost between $17 million and $20 million, according to preliminary estimates by the town.
