The revamped store expands on the favorites and adds a few new options for Los Gatos shoppers.

LOS GATOS, CA — Safeway on Wednesday celebrated the grand reopening of its Los Gatos location on North Santa Cruz Avenue, hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a good cause.

The store's director was joined by Vice Mayor Mary Badame to mark the occasion, capped off by a $3,000 donation from the Safeway Foundation to the Alzheimer's Association.

The remodeled store highlights expanded offerings of freshly prepared meals and grab-and-go options from the deli, complete with fresh-cut and premium meats and an oyster bar. Other updates include a larger selection of wine and spirits, complemented by a "World of Cheese" section packed with local and gourmet selections.

The remodeling is the latest entry in Safeway's history in Los Gatos, which stretches back to 1969.
