Los Gatos Seeks Artists To Beautify Its Utility Boxes

Artists who are selected will be given a $500 stipend to design each mural via the Utility Box Art Program.

LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos’ Park and Public Works Department is seeking designs for the Utility Box Art Program, which will beautify the town’s utility boxes.

Artists who are selected will be given a $500 stipend to design each mural, and the artwork will be celebrated during an unveiling presentation.

The designs will be transferred to a vinyl wrap before being applied to the utility boxes.

The deadline for artists to submit designs is May 6, with a committee reviewing the designs beginning in May and artists selected in June.

The application consists of a design concept, with a brief explanation, box selection and proposal submission.
