Los Gatos Seeks Input On Whether To Allow Marijuana Dispensaries
Cannabis for retail, manufacturing or cultivation is not currently allowed in Los Gatos.
LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos residents are being asked for their input on whether to allow marijuana dispensaries in the town via a survey.
While marijuana is legal across California, cannabis for retail, manufacturing or cultivation is not allowed in Los Gatos as each municipality can enact its own regulations on cannabis.
Several Bay Area cities, including San Jose, Mountain View, Foster City and San Carlos have allowed for commercial cannabis operations.

The survey asks residents where dispensaries should be located, if they were to be allowed. It also asks how many dispensaries should be allowed to operate in the town.
In January, the town council called for community feedback to help determine whether it should amend its municipal code to allow for commercial cannabis.
