Los Gatos Set To Crack Down On Underage Drinking At Parties
The proposed ordinance set to be introduced at Tuesday's council meeting comes after the Los Gatos High School "Party Mom" incident.
LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos Town Council is set to take action on regulating underage drinking and drug use at parties following the arrest of the Los Gatos High School “Party Mom” last year.
Police would be able to issue citations against people who host gatherings where alcohol or drugs are “served to, consumed by, or in the presence of minors,” with fees up to $1,500 for the first violation and $3,000 for subsequent violations.
Shannon O’Connor, 47, was charged last October with 39 counts related to accusations that she repeatedly pressured teenagers to have sex while supplying them with alcohol at parties at her Los Gatos home.
