Los Gatos Siblings Raise $15K For Children's Hospital

Nolan and Quinn Harr, creators of Scares for Cares, had participants film scary movies and charged viewers to vote for their favorites.

LOS GATOS, CA — Two Los Gatos siblings raised nearly $15,000 for the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital through encouraging youth to make short films.

Nolan and Quinn Harr, creators of Scares for Cares, had participants film their own scary movies and then charged viewers to vote for their favorites. All proceeds went to the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, according to their website.

Last year, Scares for Cares raised over $7,000. This year, they brought in $14,935, beating the goal of $10,000.

The winning movie, “Escaping Asylum Horrors,” raised nearly $3,980.

“We are so proud of all the participants this year, the movies were all really amazing,” Nolan told the Los Gatan.
