Los Gatos Storm Watch: Downed Trees, Mudslides, Power Outages

Current Los Gatos weather conditions have caused a number of calamities, including a power outage on the east side of town.

LOS GATOS, CA -- The ongoing Bay Area storms continue to wreak havoc in the area. Current weather conditions have resulted in the following situations, according to authorities:

  • A downed tree on Lark Avenue that is currently resting on wires. Police people should avoid Lark Avenue for the time being.
  • A mudslide on University near Vasona Oaks. As of this morning, Parks & Public Works was on their way to assess. As of mid-day, half a lane was blocked.
  • The traffic lights at Alberto and Highway 9 are out. Any intersection without power is to be treated as a four-way stop.
  • There is a power outage affecting east Los Gatos. Any questions can be directed to Pacific Gas & Electric at (800) 743-5000. You can also visit their website and sign up for outage alerts at https://www.pge.com/.

Police say they're also looking into reports of a landslide on southbound Highway 17 near Idylwild.
