Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Welcome New Police Officer Wayne Boom
Former community service officer intern and police officer recruit was sworn into the LGMSPD Sept. 30, 2013.

The Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department is welcoming new officer Wayne Boom to its 38-member sworn team.
The announcement was posted on the department's page on the Town of Los Gatos' website and included a photo of Boom next to Police Chief Scott Seaman.
Boom is a California native who was attending college when he was first hired by the LGMSPD in May 2010 as a part time police assistant.
He pursued his college education and worked as a community service officer intern for the department from November 2010 through April 2013.
Boom was hired as a police officer recruit in April 2013 and attended the San Jose Police Academy.
In September 2013, Boom graduated from the police academy and was sworn into the police department as a full time police officer on Sept. 30, said police Sgt. spokesman Clinton Tada.
Boom will enter a field training program and then, upon completion, he will be assigned as an officer in the patrol division, Sgt. Tada said.
Congratulations, officer Boom and welcome to Los Gatos and Monte Sereno.Find out what's happening in Los Gatosfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
