Man Killed In Los Gatos Highway Transition Ramp Crash Identified

A motorcyclist died last Thursday in a collision on the transition ramp between Highway 17 and Highway 85.

LOS GATOS, CA — A man killed in a crash in Los Gatos last Thursday night on the transition ramp between southbound Highway 17 and southbound Highway 85 was identified, according to the Mercury News.

Terry Edward Barber, a 61-year-old San Jose resident, was killed when his motorcycle crossed into the right shoulder lane and collided with a guardrail, California Highway Patrol officials told the Mercury News.

Barber was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

A CHP spokesperson told the Mercury News that alcohols or drugs were likely not involved in the accident but speed was a factor.
