Meeting On Highway 17 Congestion Relief Project Planned In Los Gatos

The project seeks to reduce congestion on Highway 17 by modifying the on- and off-ramps at the Highway 17 and State Route 9 interchange.

LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos will hold a meeting Thursday — along with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority and the California Department of Transportation — on the State Route 17 Corridor Congestion Relief Project.

The project seeks to reduce congestion on Highway 17 by modifying the on- and off-ramps at the Highway 17 and State Route 9 interchange, widening the shoulder along Highway 17 and installing technology like a traffic signals control system, traveler information system and a ramp.

It also would implement improvements for bicycle and pedestrian travel.
