New Taco Bell Cantina Opens Wednesday In San Jose

Wednesday's grand opening offers customers a few perks, plus the chance to win a free meal every week for a year.

SAN JOSE, CA — The Bay Area's newest Taco Bell Cantina is set to open Wednesday at the Westfield Oakridge Mall in San Jose, bringing a movie theme, boozy creations, and all things Live Más next door to the Century theater.

The Cantina will be operated by Diversified Restaurant Group, one of Taco Bell's largest franchisees, with 325 locations on the roster.

A grand opening celebration is slated for Wednesday, Aug. 23, running from 10 a.m. to midnight. The first 100 customers will get a special Taco Bell cup, and each purchase will give diners the chance to win free Taco Bell for a year.

The new digs have a retro movie theater aesthetic, three ordering kiosks, and a patio that can fit two dozen guests. The cantina's alcohol offerings include liquor, beer, and wine options for diners 21 and older.

"The new San Jose Taco Bell Cantina is a great addition to the community and offers more ease and convenience for customers to dine in, order delivery, or pick up to-go orders," said SG Ellison, CEO of Diversified Restaurant Group. "Plus, the cool factor for this location is that customers can quickly get their Taco Bell and Twisted Freeze fix before or ager shopping or seeing a new movie."
