No Victim Or Suspect Found After Oakridge Mall Shooting: Police
Officers had initially responded at 5:48 p.m. to the mall at 925 Blossom Hill Road after several people reported gunshots being fired.
SAN JOSE, CA — San Jose police on Tuesday released more information about a shooting that caused a chaotic scene at the Westfield Oakridge mall on Monday evening but left no apparent victim.
Officers had initially responded at 5:48 p.m. to the mall at 925 Blossom Hill Road after several people reported gunshots being fired near the Forever 21 store.
Police searched the mall, which was crowded with people shopping for the upcoming Christmas holiday, and found evidence of a shooting but did not find a victim despite reports that someone had been shot.

People were asked to shelter in place while officers searched for a suspect, but the search was called off after multiple hours, police said.
