Pedestrian Killed In SJ Hit-And-Run: Police
Investigators said it was the fourth deadly crash on San Jose streets since the year began.
SAN JOSE, CA — A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in San Jose earlier this month has succumbed to his injuries, police said Tuesday.
The victim, identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office as 26-year-old Vincent Thien Thach, was struck in a collision reported shortly before 6:45 a.m. on Jan. 11 in the area of South White and Quimby roads, according to San Jose police.
Investigators determined Thach was running in and out of traffic outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Quimby Road, police said.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop following the collision and remains at large. Descriptions of the suspect and vehicle were not immediately available from police.
