Pedestrian Struck, Killed In San Jose
The pedestrian was hit near Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive.
SAN JOSE, CA — A pedestrian was killed Thursday in San Jose after being struck by a vehicle.
On Thursday at 5:58 p.m., officers with the San Jose Police Department responded to the area of Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive on a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Police said the preliminary investigation revealed a 2016 green Subaru driven by a woman was traveling west on Bollinger Road with it struck a man crossing the road.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police said it does not appear alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision.

The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision, according to police.
The identity of the pedestrian was not immediately available.
