Robots Are Making Hamburgers At These CA Restaurants

LOS GATOS, CA — The future is here at two South Bay restaurants, where robots are making hamburgers.

BurgerBots launched Tuesday at First Born Restaurant and Breaking Dawn Brunch, both in Los Gatos.

“Our automation platform handles each ingredient with mathematical precision while maintaining the soul of what makes a great burger truly spectacular,” the company said in an Instagram post.

Described in another post as “born from a veteran restaurateur with 20+ years of fast-casual dining” and “the solution we’ve all been waiting for,” the concept allows customers to watch as the robot prepares the burger at a station. BurgerBots was founded by Elizabeth Truong.

“We grind, griddle, and garnish each burger fresh to order and to your unique specifications,” according to the BurgerBots website.
