San Jose Sharks Minor League Affiliate’s Season Cancelled
The Barracudas had made the American Hockey League playoffs in each of their first four years in San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA — The American Hockey League, a professional hockey minor league with a team affiliated with the San Jose Sharks, announced Monday that the rest of its 2019-20 regular season and playoffs have been canceled because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The AHL Board of Governors voted to cancel the season, which had four home games left for the San Jose Barracuda, the minor league team that also plays at the SAP Center in San Jose like its parent club, the Sharks in the National Hockey League.
Barracuda season ticket holders can apply funds from the final four home games toward their 2020-21 season ticket payments or get refunds to their original form of payment, according to the team. Season ticket holders are encouraged to contact their account executive for more details.
