SCC Wildfire Preparedness Workshop Planned This Weekend
The Santa Clara County Fire Department will share a few ways to plan for fire season on Wildfire Preparedness Day.

LOS GATOS, CA — Saturday is Wildfire Preparedness Day, and residents of Santa Clara County will have a chance to get some expert advice on how to guard their homes against natural disasters, evacuate in case of a fire, and navigate the insurance market.
The weekend workshop is the first in a series and will cover evacuation planning and readiness, ways to make properties more resilient and methods to receive important emergency alerts.
"We're pleased to offer community members this wildfire preparedness workshop on such a significant day," said Hector Estrada, deputy fire chief. "With fire season on the horizon, the time to prepare for wildfire is now, and I hope the community will join us to learn how."
